How it works
- Drop your image. The tool finds the star watermark automatically, whatever size or position Gemini used.
- The watermark is reversed. Because the watermark is applied in a known, predictable way, it can be peeled off precisely instead of being blurred or painted over.
- Download the clean PNG. If no watermark is found with confidence, your image is left completely untouched.

Why WatermarkWipe is different from AI watermark removers
Most online watermark removers run on a server and use generic AI inpainting: they delete a region of your image and ask a model to invent plausible replacement pixels. That works for unknown logos, but it has three big problems on a Gemini image. Your image gets uploaded to someone else's hardware, the corner pixels are hallucinated rather than recovered, and the whole image is often re-compressed.
The Gemini star is a known shape applied with a known blend at a known position, so the math is reversible. WatermarkWipe peels the blend back off pixel by pixel. The original pixels come back untouched, your image never leaves your browser, and there is no upload, no queue and no quality loss.
WatermarkWipe only removes the visible star. It does not remove the invisible SynthID watermark Google embeds across the rest of the image, and it does not claim to make any image undetectable as AI-generated.
Frequently asked questions
Is this Gemini watermark remover free?
Yes. The tool is completely free with no sign-up, no usage limits and no watermarks of its own.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your images never leave your device, which keeps them private and makes the process instant.
Does removing the watermark reduce image quality?
No. Instead of blurring or repainting the area, the tool reverses the exact blending operation Gemini used, so the original pixels are restored without any quality loss.
Which images are supported?
Images generated by Google Gemini, including Nano Banana models, at any official output size. Resized copies are handled automatically. Cropped images are not supported because the watermark position can no longer be located.
Does it remove the invisible SynthID watermark?
No. SynthID is an invisible signal embedded across the whole image and is not affected. Only the visible star logo in the corner is removed. Read more about SynthID →
Does it work on Nano Banana images?
Yes. The image models internally referred to as Nano Banana use the same visible star watermark in the bottom-right corner, so WatermarkWipe handles them just like any other Gemini output.
Can I process many images at once?
Yes. Drop multiple files at once and each one gets its own result card. When you are done, the "Download all as ZIP" button packages every clean image into a single archive.
Will the resized output keep the same quality?
The clean image itself is lossless. When you change the output width, the image is resized once using a high-quality algorithm and saved as PNG, so there is no recompression artefact stacking.
